As a jeweler i kinda expect to the need to maintain my tools. but out of the box not so much. The burnisher's had some sharp edges that would mar the finish. I took them off pretty quick with my water wheel at 280 grit.

Tools have a nice polish that can take an extra buffing to improve the smoothness. Otherwise a nice set of burnishing hand tools. I think these are definitely made for larger stones or bezel burnishing.
