I was surprised how small the box was, then realized the rail was in sections! It was actually kinda fun to put this together- like a puzzle. I've installed a lot of doors and quite a few sliders in my time. This was way different, b/c of the sectional rail. Its pretty ingenious how they designed it tho, with bushings to press (hammer) in to hold sections together. Holes are all 16" OC except for the ends (at 14.5" OC), more of an fyi as its installed in the header so stud spacing is moot. The instructions are crap. I used them to get a general idea of what piece goes where, and measured everything myself. If the directions were better (and bigger) I would give a 5-star... Still, nice hardware and smooth rolling for only $85. Not high quality fine-home stuff, but works in my shop great. Thanks China! Hope you're paying a living wage, but doubtful at this price...

Overall, we are happy with this purchase. The quality appears to be good (we'll know more a year from now) and the product looks good as well.All of my issues revolve around the assembly process which leaves MUCH to be desired for anyone purchasing and installing in the United States. Here are the ones that I encountered:The biggest note I have is that the tools required call for a 4mm and 15mm DRILL BIT. Metric tools are generally easy to find in the US, but metric DRILL BITS are not without ordering them as a specialty tool. Yes, we can convert these to the imperial sizes which is what I did for the 4mm bit (5/32"). HOWEVER the 15mm bit converts to 19/32" which is also VERY difficult to find. As this is used to drill a hole for the dowels and therefore need to be pretty close.The second is that the description does not indicate where the holes for the DOORS must go. For the hangar I ordered, the holes were specified to go in 5" from the edge which is further in than the frame for my door. This would have been VERY helpful to know before purchasing this kit and the door.The third is in the dimensions callout. My installation calls for 1.57" which is NOT how imperial measurements are specified. It should have been 1-9/16". Furthermore the measurement for the second hold was relative to the first hole. Very few people have a ability to measure from the center of a hole; the dimension should be from the edge of the door; not from a hole. The height of the bar was [door height H + 1 3/5"]. Fractional inches are not measure in 1/5ths; they are in 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, or 1/16th increments.So in general, it appears that the instructions were translated from the metric system without much understanding on how the imperial system actually works. The kit CAN be installed, but be aware that you're going to be making some adjustments on the fly to do so.Also a template that can be taped to the door and used to drill the holes for the hangars would have been very helpful.

This is a very well-made product and the design is very clean. This design works well with sliding doors that aren’t of the farmhouse style that are your typical indoor style door for bedroom and closet. I recommend getting the attachments for soft close/open because these things roll so good they can slam open and closed with little effort.

The finished product I love. Used on a closet that I have repaired bi-fold doors at least a dozen times. CHECK PARTS. Note that the mounting bar is like a LEGO kit and is easy to get out of level. First kit was missing parts so I returned for another. I still rated this as a 5 as the finished produce is great.

Worked well for my needs. They support a 36†solid wood door. Smooth movement. Easy installation. Look good. Cheaper than the local Home Depot.
