When it comes to bike safety, your visibility to other people is one of the most important things you can control.In addition to wearing high-viz gear and keeping front and rear lights on day and night, a safety flag can be a huge asset.While I don't tend to see many adult cyclists with safety flags on their bikes, it doesn't hurt to have one. And if you have kids, ride with a bike trailer, use a recumbent bike, or even a trike, then a safety flag will instantly give you more visibility.This set comes with everything you need to get these flags mounted, and mounting is super easy, no matter if you have a quick release or bolt-on axle.What I like about this kit is that you can make the flagpole and tall or short as you like, simply by adding or taking away segments.There is no option to mount these horizontally (so motorists give you most passing distance), but I think a DIY setup would work in this case.One thing I would also suggest doing to make you even more visible, is to wrap reflective tape along the top of the pole, just under the flag.Overall, for under $25 you get enough flags for up to four bikes, and that's a great deal.

Very Bright vibrant orange flags with strong sturdy poles and mounts.These flags definitely stand out in vibrance and will get you noticed thus increasing visual safety.I got these flags Not for biking but for marking property during winter snow storms.The snow plows frequently dig up my yard, grass and shrubs.When everything is blanketed with snow, snowplow drivers cannot distinguish betweensidewalks, grass and driveway. Also people will often park in front of my drivewayafter heavy snowfall due to ALL White snow conditions.These flag poles are 6 feet high and screaming orange colors. They serve well as indicatorsof where driveway, walkway and property is located. They are long so will still remainvisible high above accumulated snow fall.The poles feel like a solid, durable fiberglass material. Strong winter winds not likely tobreak them.The flag material is polyester not cloth, so will not droop in wet weather.Important: I do feel severe winds may blow the flags off the poles. Easy fix isto use tape or glue to reinforce the base of each flag and make it stick firmlyon the pole.Flags & poles like these are hard to find in local stores or are very pricey.Final thoughts: a good purchase with Multiple uses at affordable price.Update Jan 28 2025: All these flag poles snapped and broke yesterday during 80KM winds (49.7mph).Important to know if your area gets strong winds like that.
