Pros: great for painting (artsy fartsy painting); good quality boards; great "bang for the buck" coming in at around $4/board.Cons: I don't have any true cons for these boardsWhy did I buy these? I was enrolled in an art workshop and they preferred we use 12"x12" Birch board of these specific dimensions.You wouldn't need to sand these but I did. They arrive already smooth. I added a primer or gesso before I planned to paint these. They fit nicely into a floater frame.I haven't attempted to cut these.Frame around the board? It's a floater frame by Ampersand. Artist? Me

Used these to mount the padding for my cross stitch mounting. Worked perfectly! I pin my threaded needles to it after I apply the padding.

These boards are great to paint on. All they need is a light sanding and a coat or two of gesso and you're good to go! No knots or other imperfections on any surface. Nice and thick at 1/4", and a great value as well.Honestly, you could save a few bucks by going to Home Depot and having a full sheet cut down to 12X12, but that doesn't always work out. I've had one good technician that did a great job and one that completely messed up the entire order. So much easier to just order these boards online.I'll be ordering these again!

Good quality of wood. My only complaint is the sides are really rough and I got some splinters while trying to sand the edges.

I purchased a pack of 15 12x12" birch panels to use for painting in an artist class. I am in a gallery and making small studies that will become larger paintings. They arrived quickly and worked out very well. They were well packaged to avoid damage. I ordered another batch and 2 of the panels had a minor flaw. When I contacted the company they responded immediately and corrected the problem. My husband does most of the building for my framed pieces and he has used high quality tools made by this company as well. I found the boards to be of very good quality and less expensive than the art stores nearby.

I needed back panels for my art and I didn’t want to drag out my circular saw. These worked great and fit into the collage box very well. Great wood!

The panels are not quite 12†square as advertised.11 7/8†x 11 15/16†(302 x 303mm)If you’re hoping for an exact 12†width, this won’t work.Lucky for me I can re-configure my panels to get an overall 12†width.Caveat Emptor

The product comes in different thickness, for different crafts. Easy size to work with on an mall crafts, and absolutely great to use when making scroll work, cut clean.

The product was as expected. The dimensions and thickness were exact. The finish was also as advertised. Packaging was as would expect of a professional product because the boards were shrink wrapped together so that they did not warp. In comparison to other products or walking into a store the price was good. For painting and wood burning these make an excellent canvas. I recommend this product. Maybe they will come out with a larger size.
