These shelves are really solid. They seem to be hard steel and pretty thick and heavy. They seem to be powder coated in black for longevity, and I've seen no chips, scratches, stains, or discoloration of any kind. They install easy since they are individual, so you can align them perfectly with studs in the wall.I use them in my garage to hold up pretty heavy storage bins full of items and they have done perfectly.I like these because they can appear hidden if you put the tab up to be hidden by the wood itself. This makes them appear to be floating shelves.You do need to supply your own wood shelf. These are just the supports.When needed, id definitely buy another pack of these. What a great value.

I’ve ordered these 12†inch brackets twice in the past year. All arrived in great condition. These are robust and come with quality screws and wallboard anchors. Simple, I know, but so often hardware can be disappointing. To allow for the 20-30 lbs Intended for shelves, i found a stud for at least one bracket per shelf. Shelves were 1, 2 and 3 feet in length, 1 foot wide. I finished Sapele wood with minwax tung oil to ‘baby butt’ smooth.

These brackets can support so much weight and are totally worth the money. I spray painted mine a metallic gold to match the rest of my room decor and super happy with how they turned out. They came with all the screws and anchor attachments needed for proper installation and each bracket was shipped with a soft foam wrapping to prevent any damage or scratches. Super easy to install and look great at making my shelf appear to be floating on the wall.

Purchased these for open shelving in kitchen. They are very strong and heavy. Looks great for a farmhouse or modern look. They can be positioned multiple ways! Great purchase!

These are well built and very solid. Great looking bracket as well for floating shelf look. The screws are just okay like all screws with these online products. I was pleasantly surprised how nice these were and will probably buy more for other shelving projects.

Very sturdy. I suggest you screw in to studs especially if you have heavy shelves. I used longer screws into the studs as my shelves were 100 year old reclaimed beams from an old building and very heavy. Excellent shelf bracket. Highly recommend.
