I am very impressed with the yellow spectrum light these emit after installing a pair in partial shade on a south facing wall next to a doorway with an outdoor step that needs lighting when the electric overhead motion light is turned off. Installation was simple with one screw. One screw and one corresponding threaded concrete stucco or siding plastic hanger is included with each unit. The sun charges the attached solar panels from early morning until early afternoon and this gives the internal battery enough charge to stay lit about half of the night on the lowest of the three brightness settings. They do not light up if they don't receive enough sunlight. Inside the directions is printed that a Li-Ion type battery was preinstalled internally. I am very pleased with my purchase after about two months of use so far. I'm going to wait until late Spring to install the other four units. They came individually packed in bubble wrap in perfect condition with a clear sticker protecting the solar panel. These Kolpop outdoor lights are of really great value and the yellow hued light is a welcome addition to the silver-white light produced by the dollar store variety of LED lights I hung on walls and stair railing. They are a lot brighter as well as there is a grid of diodes instead of one diode per light.

These are great for dark areas that you don't need bright light for visibility to work. They do kick on for motion, even at a distance of about 25 feet, which is good for some applications, but not for all. I have some others I've had for a while that are brighter than these (Mr. Beams), but these are decent. They have the 3-mode button selector in the front: 1.)On low full time, that brighten with movement, 2.) On bright full time, 3.) Off, then fully bright when motion is detected. They provide screws for mounting on a fence, but I use double-stick tape so I don't put holes in my walls (my favorite tape to use is Alien tape), and these are pretty lightweight, so they stay in place with no problem. I have noticed that some do come on at a 25+ foot distance, while others do not (less than 15 feet), so it's a bit odd on the sensitivity of these. Solar is always good for areas without power, or where you just want that extra splash of light, but as we all know, solar can be flakey. I've had some that last for years, and others that last months. What's nice about these, is that they give you 6 of them, so I always hold one back as a spare. I've not disassembled one yet to see the battery type needed for replacement, but the panel is accessible from the back via 4 small Phillips screws. Hopefully, these will last a very long time before needing replacement.

Edited: their customer service reached out to replace the ones not working. Thank you!!I love the ones that work, but some stop working shortly after purchase. Before we hung them up we tested them all and they seemed fine. Shortly after nailing these up a couple of them stopped working right away. I’d buy more if they lasted

I put a couple of these on the back door porch railing and they work great. I also used a couple in my fenced in garden to keep the night time critters out of my garden. The solar motion detection works great for both uses.

We bought these for our 32' travel trailer. We have them positioned over both main doors, both storage hatch doors, and one on each of the front and back ends. Our trailer is new and has modern lighting features, but who wants to be the nuisance neighbor at the campground who leaves full exterior lighting on round the clock?We have the lights set to motion lighting and installed them using two heavy duty (wall art, velcro-style) command strips each. This makes them easy to take down for storage (we cover it in the winter) or road travel, and easy to reinstall at destinations or after storage (though I'm sure they would hold on the road, we don't want to risk it).These help to(1) Enhance security (or act as a deterrent / bring attention to) any weak points which may be used to break in or steal the trailer and / or it's contents (when parked at home, they also help to trigger the motion camera on our garage if attempts are made to gain access from the sides out of immediate camera view).(2) Prevent us from tripping over hookup connections in the dark (or our own feet if returning to a dark campsite after a few drinks!)(3) Enables ease of access to exterior equipment or features (such as key holes) in the dark.Anyhow, they are bright and work very reliably. We had them on for most of last summer, took them off before applying our cover for the winter (because there is no use for solar lighting that is covered up), then put them back up again at the start of this season. They are working just as well this year as they did last year (and - turned off - were still holding quite a bit of charge from about 5 months prior)!Would definitely buy these again!

One of the two lights will charge an equal amount of time in the sun but is unreliable as it will often not light up. They are cheap lights and have the quality of cheap lights.

These are great little lights for intimate spaces in your yard needing only occasional light, or pet areas, very handy and the brightness options work fantastic. Out of 3 packs purchased, one unit required complete disassembly, refitting of internal parts, then reassembly. Easy enough, yet……

Die Solarlampen sind einfach super. Sie sind klein und spenden doch sehr helles Licht. Der Bewegungssensor funktionier einwandfrei. Die Aufladung funktioniert auch bei trüben Wetter. Würde ich immer wieder kaufen.

These installed easily on the metal posts of the 3' high metal fence along my driveway. The illumination is perfect for what I wanted. Very pleased.
