College ruled lines are sharp and printed on both sides of each sheet. Margin at the top is less than 3/4".The sheets don't separate from the pad easily, even the though the perforation line is complete. To get a clean separation I remove the preceding sheet completely, fold the sheet to be torn and crease it at the perforation and then tear it off.

Nothing says "I'm an adult" like writing on a yellow legal pad that is college ruled. It's glorious. And the perforations at the top? Brilliant! So if my musings and notes are messy, no one will know because the perforations make it look like I removed the page via a professional effort and not ripped off and torn in the dismay that sometimes accompanies my notes.
