I used these clamps to secure some expanded metal to a framework that I built. The expanded metal was galvanized, the framework was painted and joining them was accomplished with these clamps and some rubber isolators.

They work just fine -- but DO NOT TRY TO use a screwdriver with it -- there's just too much friction and you'll only damage the screw head and/or the driver.Use a 7mm hex driver. A 9/32 inch driver might work, too.
