I often machine these waxes in a lathe. I found them to be more fragile when parting off causing fractures of the stock part of the work. This reduces the overall usable length of the wax tube. The wax saws, drills and files as I would expect.

I personally was looking for a more dense wax.. it may have been an error on my part but this wax is not as dense as others I have used in the past. Still it works perfectly fine and is acceptable for the price point. Just know that if you are looking for a very dense wax do look for something else.

This was a complete waste for me. I have broken every piece I tried to make. This may have just been a bad batch, but it split in the same area every time like it was poorly molded. This was a learning experience.

You get what you pay for, but honestly it led to more work than it’s worth. Lots of bubbles and it just feels off when carving. If you’re a beginner and are just fooling around then sure go for it, but if you’re serious about jewelry then go name brand.

I mistakenly bought these generic wax tubes instead of getting a brand name like Matt or Ferris, and I'll never buy them again. The wax is grainy and crumbly, and there are air bubbles/pockets through it. Also, the tops of the flat ring tubes aren't flat and the tubes aren't cut off straight, so everything has to be reworked to get it flat/straight before you can even start your carving.Would not buy these again, ever.
