I got this currycomb for my granddaughter to use when caring for her new horse. She is learning ride and also how to to care for this animal, so when this currycomb arrived she put it right to work. I appreciate that this is made from stainless steel so it won't become corroded. The stamped comb ring sections seem to be profiled such that it will remove the loose hair without scratching her horse.I expect that this tool will get a lot of use between her horse and the one her mother had.Lots to learn about caring for your horse and having a reliable tool is an important first step.

One if my horses has just started shedding like crazy so I put this metal curry comb to use. It really works great to take the hair off him. The teeth are nice and sharp and it grabs the hair really nicely. However I was a little disappointed in its sturdiness. Last night was the first time I used it and the handle is already a little loose. The rings are bigger than most curries like this that I have seen, and I think that tends to make it a little less stable as well. It's put together strangely with a weird cotter pin in the middle holding all of the rings on. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust the tension or tighten the handle. Turning the cotter pin didn't do anything, and you need to make sure that it's lying flat so it doesn't poke your horse. So although this curry does a good job taking hair and mud off the horses, I don't expect it to last long. The handle is already a little loose from day 1 and once that loosens up significantly it's going to be a little difficult to use. So it's a good idea, just poorly designed. I would not buy another one.

My dog is a mix of a yorkie/terrier and sits at about fifteen pounds. She is an ABSOLUTE SHEDDING MONSTER!!!!! She absolutely detests getting brushed out and runs from combs! I called her over to me and had her sit for some cheese and tried this six ring curry comb on her - she actually stood still and turned around for me to keep going! I am completely in awe and she just freaking loves it! It took so much old hair off of her too! She looks so shiny and gorgeous instead of like an old pile of leaf litter! I was also very happy with how the comb itself felt in my hands - it wasn't going to slip out of them anytime soon. The handle is very well built, and I love that this comb is also reversible!!!!!

This is not a heavy duty curry, but most things now days aren’t. It works well just like any other curry. You can easily remove the hair to clean it. For the price it’s a decent curry. Overall, I am happy with this curry and I guess I will see how long it lasts.

This metal curry comb is extra large, with more rings than my previous ones, and a good strong handle so you can really power through a crusty, muddy spring coat on a shedding, itchy horse. Warning: may cause horse to lean into you and love you extra! It really is a well built comb, and if you need to reset any of the rings, it's configured so that you can take it apart, clean the metal, reshape any that have deflected, and then screw them all back onto the spring housing. Good, durable design.

I use this brush as a mud rake/brush. It works great for that and for de-shedding in the spring. This one is well-made and is larger than previous ones I have owned. I'm very happy with the quality.

This shedding comb is ok. I had to turn the ends of the cotterpin to make sure it didn't injure an animal. It's sturdy, but the plastic handle is a little slippery to hang on to. I'd rather have a traditional made in the USA comb than this China made one.
