Needed as the original sensor was leaking. Installed just fine and has held up so far. Feels somewhat lighter than the original BMW part but not by much. No leaks and works as made.

Double check your level sensor plug before getting this. My 1995 M3 coolant level sensor has a plug with large pins, this sensor has tiny pins and is a totally different kind of plug.

Fits and seems to work as expected. Used this with an aftermarket Mishimoto metal overflow chamber.
