I like the product. I installed them on two large stereo speakers that I incorporate into my PA system. They worked great. 1/4" connectors are far better than the basic speaker clip connectors.

I'm combining these with some Hiletgo 5V 3W amps (also from Amazon) for a USB-powered practice amp. I punched a hole in the side of a small tin and this mounted securely. They come with the nut and washer to lock the jack to the side of the tin.

OK, except for the fact that the threaded part of the socket turns when the nut is tightened and there is no way to hold it still.

Be careful, straight off the bag, the bent tab for the ring was not aligned on the ring and was making contact between the ring and tip. My advice is to insert a 1/4 male connector inside the socket to see where it touches and bend the tab accordingly to adjust it correctly.

The product is not well designed. Alignment of the contacts and insulators is not exact allowing, in my case, the tip to short to the sleeve. This is because the metal tabs are wider than the notches in the insulator wafers. I had two out of six shorted and un-fixable. Not going to buy again.

Needed 8 so I bought two packages of 12. 3 of them were defective right out of the bags. I've soldered and tested 6 so far, not sure I'll get 2 more good ones out of the 3 I have left. Definitely can't recommend.
