I used a Dremel pointed grinder to countersink the screw holes in my Ruger Mk2 after removing a red dot aiming device. It prevented the filler screws from starting into the tapped holes. I ordered this set of taps to simply act as thread chasers, and they worked fine. Now, in the future if I want to tap a receiver for scope rails, I have the taps. I think the price is a bargain, just saying.

no problems I use these to tap receivers for scope mounts and on the barrel for open sights worked just fine But if you've never did any tap work I suggest watch a u tube video so you know how its done properly might save you a big headache in the long run

I use these for gunsmithing. Cuts brass very well. A bit rough on steel. Functional.
