Get the right tool for the job and be safe. Due to the location of my fuel pump I couldn't get to it so easy with a hammer and screw driver. Also it didn't seem like causing a spark while working on the fuel pump was a good idea. This tool with a two foot breaker bar and it was off with one quick pull. The installation was just as fast. In all start to finish, it took my about 30 minutes. It is a well made tool and not a cheap one hit wonder. Even if this is the only time I use this tool the price versus the time I saved was more than worth it.

This tool is awesome! Today I changed out both the 1) fuel pump and 2) pump sending unit on a 2006 dodge magnum. Had I not got this for removal and install of the sealing rings I highly dought I could have gotten them done today. As it was, I sprayed the flange with PB blaster and let soak for 2 hours and I still had to use a 4 foot cheater on my breaker bar to get them to break loose. This made it much easier and it is heavy duty, 1 piece and not adjustable. Just what I needed to get the job done.

Worked great with a breaker bar made easy work of taking fuel pump out, no banging with a hammer to get ring off of tank. Used on a 2014 ford Taurus, but would work on multiple vehicles and models

I've been wrenching for over 50 years & this was a MUST have tool for my 2005 Avalanche fuel pump replacement.I've install MANY electric fuel pumps but this one was a real headache & I suspect almost impossible to do without this tool. Granted you "might" get the ring re-installed without it but you're taking a BIG risk of damaging the plastic tank by using a hammer & punch to apply this much force !Take note that a lot of Chevy, Dodge & Ford lock rings have V shaped ramp-up style tabs to help start the installation of the ring, this type can be removed & installed with a hammer & punch without a lot of force, however, the one on my Avalanche does NOT have that V ramp style. The ring on mine had to pressed downwards & "firmly with a lot of force" while turning the ring tool with a large 1/2" drive pullhandle & a cheater pipe to even make it turn & bottom out against the spring steel bumps locking tabs. YES ... you can remove the lock ring with a punch & hammer but in my case this tool was the only way to re-install the lock ring without fear of destroying the plastic tank. This is a well made tool & worth every penny & piece of mind!

Gave this 4 stars only because I had to use a rubber mallet to get the socket wrench to start turning the lock ring. Fits the lock ring on a 26 gallon 2016 Ram 1500 fuel tank. Made removing the ring take about half the time as it does with trying to use a screw driver. It took about half the time to put the ring back on after replacing the fuel pump.

It works great, but had to use a breaker bar to get the fuel pump center ring back on.

Great Quality Will not fit a 2014 Nissan Altima with 4 cylinder. The Circumference was too large.

Prompt delivery - arrived earlier than promised. Fits 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe fuel tank lock ring (and most likely later model years). To remove this ring, this tool is a must as it provides THREE points of contact. Previous tool (also bought on Amazon) was much cheaper, but totally useless for the Hyundai as it had only TWO points of contact with lock ring.Use a long handled breaker bar (1/2 inch drive) as well as a rubber hammer to help remove the lock ring. These are on really tight!
