I bought this as a replacement for my old charger which worked for years. This one worked for a few weeks before breaking with no warning. Not at all worth the money.*Edit*Changed my review from one to four stars in light of excellent customer service. The seller saw my review and offered me an immediate, unconditional refund. Between that and the many good reviews I'm inclined to believe I just unfortunately got a dud charger.

I got these for our laptops because the "official" replacements from the laptop company were something like $60. These seem to be identical in terms of wattage, volts, amps, hertz, etc, but are a third the price.Open laptop plugs are always a hot commodity in our house (with various Lenovos and Chromebooks, and people meandering from room to room), and sometimes I can't find one when I need it. So I said "what the heck. If I was considering spending $60 for one 'official' cord anyway, let's just try three of these generics instead." And that's what I did. I slapped label stickers on them and designated two as "permanent" residents of different rooms and the third one as an official roving cable people can take room-to-room (or for actual travel).We've been using them about 3 months now and they've been great. They charge just like the "official" cables that came with the computers and the cords are plenty long enough to move a computer from a work desk to a nearby couch without needing to change plugs.My only concern, given their price point and generic nature, was for potential overheating, but so far we've not had any problems with that and after three months of fairly steady use, I feel pretty comfortable and safe with them.

Charger was in a box with a plastic bag laid on top. Should've realized then it had been returned, but just thought perhaps it was for packing. Nope. After plugging it in, I initially thought it was working. But on 2nd attempt to use it, no charge whatsoever. While checking all the connections, etc., I discovered sticky residue on the cord. Realized there were two sections where orange tape was applied (originally I mistook it for a tag and paid it no notice.) Returned for refund. I had previously ordered and received a fine charger but this one was apparently a defective one already returned and resold. I'll buy from another supplier next time.

Solid and clean performance, no issues, and it is lightweight, I wish instead of a strap to tie, they could have used the dell charger type wire clip to the end to make it look nice and easy,
