Great item! We have snakes in our area and this tool works great! Easy to use it’s light weight and you grip the snake from a safe distance!

Very useful to store in my shed just in case needed. I’ll find out for sure when I catch my first viper with it. Long handle and sturdy construction is comforting.

If this price point gets you to buy one to have on hand it's worth it.BUT. I've had them in the past and this one isn't very sturdy nor would I guess it'd hold up long. It clearly still moves snakes.

I've used this to move several snakes (I hate touching snakes) without harming the snakes. This works well and has a setting to hold the snake in place without squeezing too hard. It has a nice long reach compared to other snake poles.

I felt that I was taking a risk buying this product because it was lower priced than other similar products. Upon receipt, I found it mostly made of metal, sturdy for its intended use, and easy to put together. While I haven't used it in the field yet, I believe it will work as expected. It folds up pretty easily as well by just unscrewing the main rod at its joints. Good purchase. I'm satisfied.

I found the assembly instructions to be perfectly adequate, with good illustrations. The final adjustment IS a bit fiddly, but I was able to find a setup that allowed for a full closure of the jaws at the limit of handle squeeze. The latch mechanism could use some improvement, but the notches do allow a coarse adjustment that works OK.I have caught one Copperhead with this device so far - a very small one, but it proved the utility of this tool, as I had to reach under a pretty big lilac bush to capture it. The extra reach of this tool was well appreciated.

Got to use it the first time since purchase a few months ago. Putting Christmas lights, and hiding the electric cord under a bush…a baby rattler was coiled, sleeping! I was able to grab it without hurting it and take it to the wash away from my house. Phew!!!

The handle wire was not connected to the jaws when it arrived, and it is a little confusing to put together. But once repaired and assembled properly it is a verry good length and after some use in the bush it works well.
