This one works ALMOST as well as the old one it replaced. But, I miss the tone of the old one. After using a brake lathe for DECADES, you get used to the very particular sound it makes while cutting a rotor. And that is where the new anti-chatter/squeal strap drives me crazy. IT SOUNDS DIFFERENT. And instead of being music to my ears, it is a bit annoying. They just had to take the SCARY, DANGEROUS, LEAD inserts out of the thing, didn't they? Glad I kept the old, lead inserts. They have already been swapped. Still giving the tool 5 stars because it's not the fault of the tool, it is people, not minding their own business that caused this problem. This isn't a child's toy and I am an adult that doesn't need the protection of "Do-Gooders".
