I am using it as a means of incrementally raising and lowering the table on my benchtop drill press. Works well for this purpose!

The overall quality seems fine, but when I try to raise the lift, one side pops up quicker than the other leaving an unlevel surface. This was being used to raise a small work surface for a laser and it being crooked effects the engraving quality due to uneven focus.

Unit looked ok at first, once i put it to my application of a laser cutter z axis table elevator the shortfall was obvious. When extended any distance unit became very unstable. The whole unit swayed back and forth along x axis and caused the outer edges of my 18 inch cutting platform to bounce up and down about a half an inch causing laser to go out of focus and fail to cut through material on the 2 inches of extreme left and right travel of my laser. I believe this is due to sloppy rivetted joints and poor precision of the scissor linkage. I am looking for a more precision unit now to replace this p.o.s.

This product worked well for the diy project I had intended it for. The screws could also be removed if one wishes to affix someting to the top of the jack.
