How To Use a Magnesium Fire Starter
Step 1：Shave a small amount of magnesium into dry grass, paper, wood, or leaves.
Step 2：Ignite with sparks from a ferro rod, matches, or a lighter.
Step:3：Allow the sparks to fall onto the magnesium pile to start a fire.

 CAUTION: Magnesium burns quickly, hot, and bright. Not for indoor use. Keep away from children.

These rods are what's needed to start a fire scraping off some of the magnesium is a little hard but you do get some to be able to start a fire

Tried multiple tools (they all worked with my other fire starters) and got no sparks. This might even be made of plain aluminum.

No sirven las 6 barras de magnesio puro están hechas de aluminio puro, las raspó con una navaja y no hechan chispas, solo sale pequeños rizos de aluminio, no sale como se muestra en el video que está en Amazon.com.mx Pero aún así no las voy a devolver porque me pueden servir para otra situación

Very easy to use. Good product and the quality I like. I gave it 3 stars because mine looked like it was repackaged. Maybe a return I dunno. The size is decent and great to start fires when all else fails. Deff value for money and will buy more after but next time want new package.
