I tried reusing the old (original) tube seals and regretted it, needing to do the job a second time.In the grand scheme, these don't cost very much and it's really worth replacing these when the valve cover comes off... A bit softish/flexible on the outside and seal very well. Spend a couple bucks and do the job right the first time.. it's a lot easier in the long run.
