I love this little fountain! It's just what I've been looking for. It's light, portable, easy to operate and no assembly required! It comes with an adapter, or you can use AA batteries.I have to disagree with other comments, as the fountain I received is quiet and works great! A wonderful value for the price.

This mermaid fountain was just what I was looking for. I read reviews and read stopped working after one day. I read manufactures info that comes with fountain. I used only batteries. Only filtered water. Painted my Mermaid with sparkly paints and .... ooh LaLa. Merbeautiful 🧜â€â™€ï¸ðŸ§œâ€â™€ï¸ðŸ§œâ€â™€ï¸Isn’t she pretty ? It is very cute, but it the motor is loud if it isn't filled up all the way, which needs to be topped off daily due to evaporation and size. I added some additional shells for decoration. I tend to turn it off at night, but as of yesterday it stopped working, after two months. I'll have to take it apart and mess with it because I can't return it.

As previously reviewers have noted this desktop fountain is both very small and clearly made of plastic but it is pretty anyway. It is inexpensive and I like it very much. The fountain was silent on my stone kitchen counter. It was louder on my coffee table, and then a lot louder on my nightstand when I moved it there, so where it sits matters. I guess the nightstand works as an amplifier somehow. I padded the feet on the base by cutting up a felt chair glide and making little tiny pads for the base, then sat it on a cushy plastic placemat on the nightstand and that quieted the pump noise back down. So I did fuss with it some but not a lot.

This fountain is small but still looks nice. It doesn't work for very long. Mine worked without incident for 2 days. The batteries died within 48 hours of NON-continous use, that wasn't an issue however, I thought it just uses a lot of juice, so I switched to the power cord that came with the fountain. The instructions say only use the cord for two days or it may wear out the motor, so for the power cord's first use I only used it for two hours while I read that evening. The next morning I switched it on while I got ready for work, after about 10 minutes the motor began to to make a low grinding noise, so I switched it off waited a moment then switched it back on. The motor was silent for a couple of minutes then began to make a loud grinding sound. I decided to keep the fountain because it matched my decor perfectly but I can only turn it on for a couple minutes before it starts to make that horrible grinding sound. So it looks nice but if you're buying it for the water feature I would not recommend it.

I love this mermaid fountain. I'm suing it only with batteries for now. It sounds amazing for my desk at work. Not too loud. Calling and relaxing sound.

When I was looking for to buy a water fountain I saw this one and I got really interested bc it’s so adorable. Even thought I had read some bad reviews I decided to take a shot and was the worst mistake ever. After the first month using, it started to make a annoying loud noise of motor that could not stop. And then after 2 months it stopped to work. So definitely returning this item and never buying again.
