First time using yellows and I'm loving them. No issue with these switches, I'm coming from using only cherry mx on previous builds.

These are pretty good keycaps, but the milky color blocks a lot of light. There's actually a decent amount I like about these keycaps. They have a heavier press, which is something I like. The clicking is a bit more subtle compared to some other switches I've used, but not too quiet either. They actually have a good mix between the two.As far as looks, these block a lot of light from my backlit keyboard. I can still see the lights, but they're a LOT more dim compared to clear switches. It doesn't block light completely, but it is noticeable.I did take apart and grease a couple of them, but I honestly haven't noticed a difference between greased and ungreased. As far as I'm concerned, this is a good thing, as it means I don't have to do anything to ensure they're working optimally. Given how they feel now, it seems like they'll be working for a while to come. These aren't bad by any means. Overall, I can definitely recommend them, especially if you like heavier switches.

As the headline states if you are looking at these once installed they provide great sound and touch feel if lubed properly (I did so myself as I don't mind the meticulous work). The only issue is that the first set I received had about 25 that were defective hence the 3-star I anticipated some defects as it was for a 60% build I thought it'd be fine but that many was ridiculous. Quality control may be an issue.

Normally, I'm more of a tactile switch guy. However, I was building a keyboard for a friend who wanted a "nice" keyboard but also wanted a "normal" keyboard. So something with OEM profile keycaps, and with a linear feel. What I liked most about these switches is that you need to give them a little push, relative to the much lighter Cherry Red MX and Gateron Red switches that I had around. I wouldn't go as far as to say that these border on tactile, but at the same time, if you wanted to convert someone from tactile to linear, these are probably the switches I'd have them try out.My suspicion is that someone on their first build would be pretty darn happy with these, but if you're the sort of person who is apt to change out switches frequently and can tell the difference between 62g, 65g, and 68g, then you're probably going to notice that these linears aren't quite as smooth as lubricated switches.Of course, that's not a difficult problem to solve. These open easily with a standard Cherry / Gateron switch opener, and there's plenty of space to dial in exactly how much lube you want to use with these. I opted for Glorious G-Lube, though I think 205G0 would be just as good on these -- maybe better if you're looking for a touch more viscosity.Speaking of disassembling the switches, the overall build quality on these is quite nice. I'd say they're a step above the Gateron KS-8 series and closer to true Cherry switches. And for the price, it's a pretty decent value for the number of switches you get.
