I used them to cap off two U-bolts that I have on a luggage cart for my Go Bag. It wouldn't stay up straight so I got two shelf brackets and attached them to the handles and base of the cart with the U-bolts but the ends of the U-bolts stuck out so I cut them shorter and then what remained I capped off with the Cap nuts so the ends of the U-bolts wouldn't catch on things plus with the Cap nuts it looks great.

These stainless steel cap nuts look very nice. They were more shiny than I expected them to be. I bought the 50 pack for the exact same price as HomeDepot wanted for just 12 pieces. All the nuts that I received were perfect, no bad threads in any of them. I would buy this product again. I used them to fix my fence gate and some other things. For jobs like this, I tend to buy long carriage bolts, install them, then lop them off with an angle-grinder using a metal cutting disc. This leaves the end of the bolt sharp and ugly and the cap nuts cover them perfectly.
