  • Model 720A Pressure vacuum Breakers are for use on irrigation, industrial , They must not be installed where backpressure may occur.
  • New brass material, durable, high strength, exposure to freezing conditions will result in improper function ordamage to the device. The installation location must be kept above 32°F.
  • Install valve at least 12 inches above the highest piping or water putlet downstream ofthe Model 720A Pressure Vacuum Breaker.
  • Test Cocks on center line of valve allow for installation versatility, lightweight poppet seals air opening under minimum flow conditions.
  • The valve is ideally suitable for irrigation systems, industrial process water systems and other continuous pressure piping system applications where the water enters the equipment at or below its flood rim.


Model 720A Pressure Vacuum Breakers are designed to be installed to provide protection against back siphonage of liquids.

The backflow device itself seems to be fine but both ball valve sleeves kept leaking so I had to use the old ball valves. I don't recommend this item.

Took me forever before I installed this and that was my mistake or I'd be returning this one! Everything is together and looks great except the valve leaks from under the top. I expected leaks in the PVC pipe, the connectors even but not the Valve itself being defective. And now it all must be replaced yet again. Just go to home Depot and save yourself some time!

The ‎YBLKY 720A-3/4" 720A Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assembly is a clone of the Wilkins Model 720A, visually and right down to the model number. This product is currently $84 on Amazon and the Wilkins is $99 at my popular home supply store. So, What's the difference?This product does not have UPC approval mark on the casting; Wilkins does.This product does not have manufacturer name on the casting; Wilkins doesOther than these differences, this product seems to be well-manufactured, functional, and comes with a very well-written (in perfect English) and complete installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting guide.Neither this product nor Wilkins' is lead-free. There's an open discussion online whether or not backflow preventers fed by a potable water system, but not supplying such a system, really need to be lead-free. Some say yes, some say no. It depends upon your local jurisdiction's interpretation of the UPC. In fact, there is a miniscule amount of brass that could affect the supply side when you consider that the valve ball is stainless steel and all flow is away from the potable side. I think the vast majority of brass backflow preventers in existence today are not lead-free and pose no real risk for the aforementioned reasons. But that's just what I think-your local inspection department may well have a different opinion.So, bottom line, this valve is 15 bucks cheaper than name brand and is unmarked and untested. I guess it really depends on whether or not it's worth it to you. It wouldn't be for me.
