I've hand to learn a new skill recently. Spray-painting. Until recently, I've never done it before and I needed to learn how in order upgrade some vintage lave lamps. For the first couple of lamps, I would just have to hold it in my hand and kind of rotate it around. I ended spraying myself as well as the lamp. Then it occurred to me, that I could get a lazy Susan that would help me rotate the base, and keep the paint off of me. Well this did the trick. It rotates pretty smoothly and I was able to get better coverage with the paint.Beyond that, it's small enough to fit on your kitchen table and hold your most frequently used spices and condiments.

I'm using this for pottery as I did not want to invest in an expensive banding wheel until I know I'm going to stick with it. This item works fine, but I would prefer that it would spin... it rotates, but you need to move it with your hand. The mechanism is too tight to actually spin. That being said. it's okay for now and certainly works for any kind of craft situation where you need to work on all sides of your item.
