These lights I added to my stairs in my town home as it gets too dark to see. They light up quickly and stay lit a perfect amount of time. I did not need to use a light on each step because they expand about three steps, so I was able to do my up and down stairs with the packet of eight. I even placed one upstairs coming around the hallway. Batteries take 3 AAA and this is accurate for the size of the light, so I don't understand how some are saying it's a lot (It is average for these type of lights). They stick on easily (no drilling or using screws) and do not fall off. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I LOVE these! They are not too bright and not too dim, they are perfect! They were super easy to install and the motion detector works GREAT! Thank you!

Each light takes 3AAA batteries. The motion sensor on them works ok. I placed mine down a dark stairwell leading to the basement. When you walk past them, going downstairs, the lights come on after the fact. When walking upstairs, the lights come on and soon as it senses motion. I may have to position them a different way. They are very bright, and I used all 8 of them. They light up my 11 stairs pretty good. They stay on for a few seconds and then go off, so it saves battery life. The sticky tape they sent with the lights, not so great. I woke up this morning and 4 of them were laying on the floor. I had to use my own 3m tape. I will continue to use them. 4 stars because of the tape and motion on some of the lights.

These are so great! They go on before you get there and stay on for a few seconds then shut off. I put them on the stairs, did not stick them with adhesive, just placed them. Wish I got these years ago, I put them all over the house, on stairs, on floors, on countertops. Excellent!!
