"I use a CNC and laser in my shop and often make jigs for projects. I have standardized on M6 screws and inserts to make life easier. Having plenty of these in different sizes is like a woodworking having a bunch of clamps. You use them on almost every project.These particular ones (the knobs) are made of shiny plastic which can be slippery but the knurls are deep so it's not hard to get a grip. The bolt part is real steel and sticks strongly to a magnet. Picking a size can be harder than it seems, I use some hard plastic washers/spacers so I always try to err on the longer side. These work well"

I ordered these to repair another item that had arrived missing several of these type items, and I didn't want to go through the effort to return/exchange it. Knurled end of these thumbscrews are just under 3/4-inch, and easy to grasp with your fingers. These items are great for things you need to quickly assemble or adjust, without needing any special tools.

These clamping knobs seem to be well-made. Pay close attention to the measurements, as these are basically knobs that you turn with your fingers and not knobs that you grip with your entire hand. Still, they are useful to have around and I'm sure I can find many uses for them.

I got the M4 x 10mm. They are true to size. The knob is easy to turn, even when apply a good deal of force. Seems well made and should last a long time. They are gloss, so be aware.I used these to replace some small screws on a device I built, way easier to get inside now.

These thumb screws are well made and the knobs have the appearance of being made out of phenolic. The treads are smooth and screw into a thread gauge. Everything feels solid and are perpendicular to the knob. I think these thumb screws would work very well in small jigs.

ordered these for a project where I needed to open a cover plate frequently. The knobs make this a toolless task and reduce the time needed.
