I have been refinishing furniture and when it comes to the last few coats of polyurethane it’s tense not to go to heavy with the sanding. The 400 grit block sander is perfect!

Can you find higher quality blocks out there? Sure. Do these work as intended? Yes. These work well enough on wood, plastic, and metal. They won't last forever, but they are good for the price. The density of the foam is appropriate and allows some give, but is rigid enough to hold shape.

I wish that the set came with a coarser grit like 60. IMHO, the 120 grit on these isn't as aggressive as a 150 from 3M.I make slingshots and bows. I have been using these hard since they came in. Great for finish sanding. Coarser grits are needed for lathe work and shaping.

It’s a foam sanding block. It sands, therefore it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

I used these for redoing our bathroom vanity in a distressed look using Vaseline and these course grain sanding sponges to remove the top layer of paint. I found them easy to hold and maneuver, and effective in removing paint where I was looking to do so. My only complaints are that they do leave extreme ridges due to their coarseness and it’s difficult to get into small areas with them, but I’ll simply go over the areas I used them with a fine-grit sand-paper and be finished. They are great for DIY projects around the house!
