When you break off a screw deep in wood, one of these will allow you to cut around (core drill) the remnant of the screw, then fill the hole with a short piece of dowel. You're not going to use it every day, but when you need it, it can be a lifesaver.

These are only good for one use,in pine.They aren't durable,at all.

Horrible, it says use at low speed, or it will burn the wood. You have to use at high speed or it won’t cut the wood because they’re so dull. Tried all eight of them, horrible, returning the same day.
