This hoof pick really does its job. Gets through hardened mud when a regular pick cannot. It has good heft and balance in the hand. I’m getting one for each of my tack boxes at the barn.

This is a great hoof pick! Having been through several we vote this as the best. It is very sturdy and after a few years of use it shows no signs of impending failure, unlike other picks that eventually break. It's easy to hang on the wall due to the cutout, and the bright yellow makes it easy to find should it be dropped. It is extremely comfortable to use and we suffer less hand fatigue, which is important as we are in our 60's. And finally, the shape of the blade makes picking quick and easy. This is really helpful as our 22 year old quarter horse does not care to yield his hooves for very long! We have four of these hoof picks, two for the barn and another two we carry when out. This is a well-designed quality product and will serve you (and your horses) well.

I have one in all grooming boxes plus some extras. The only hoof pick I use. I still have my first one that was purchased years ago. You could line it up with all the others and you would have a hard time picking it out. My farrier showed me hers, that she has had for years, the end is rounded and showing wear after years of all day everyday use. Well worth the money! Highly recommend

Very sturdy. Easy to hold, even with injured fingers. Does the job well for caked in hoofs, rocks and mud.

Great hoof pick but pick part could be a little shorter and I like the one with finger grips in handle.

I am a professional full time farrier of 21 years. I bought my first ultimate hoof pick about 15 years ago...that is the one on the left in the pic. thousands and thousands of hooves, day in day out, you can see I wore off about a half of an inch. Hands down the best tool ever! Crappy picks dont give you the leverage to clean that frog out. Works on hard as rock dirt, snow pack, horse crap, wedged rocks, you name it. Makes my job easier. Problem is they make this product so good, if you are a casual horse owner this will last you the rest of your lifetime! Throw your other picks out and do yourself a favor this one is the bomb!
