I installed an Edelbrock 2701 manifold with an Edelbrock 1406 carb on my '78 el Camino. The OEM throttle cable bracket didn't fit properly so I got one of these off Amazon.The throttle cable fit in the new bracket fine, but the transmission (TH350) kickdown cable wouldn't fit the new bracket. Had to modify it by filing off some material from the bracket, and then zip tying the cable in place. (pics)Since I never tried the Edelebrock cable bracket (Part number 8031) - I can't say if this one is better or worse, but I can say it was 30 bucks cheaper.

I bought a ‘80 Chevy pickup truck that someone started putting a new engine in it but didn’t finish and there were a lot of parts missing and this bracket fit and worked perfectly. Very satisfied!

it’s a solid product for sure i know it’s going to work. it’s 30$ cheaper than the edelbrock option, can’t beat that. But my package was missing the hardware for the bracket. this is an easy trip to the store but cmon seriously??
