For the price you cant go wrong i needed a few rings to stop interferrce i was was getting from a power cord with a speaker these did the job. I have also used them to cut down on EMF coming from electrical devices, they do work a little at cutting down the EMF readings.

There are seriously a lot of ferrite rings in this package, of various sizes. They all click together very securely, and are easily reusable several times. Maybe after hundreds of uses the plastic clips might break, but it’s unlikely you will reuse these anywhere near enough times for them to fail. They clip very securely, and the quality is very good. As for how well they work, it’s hard to tell, since I don’t have any way to quantify how much they’re actually suppressing EM noise, but I will assume they work properly. It depends on how noisy the environment is, how the wire is shielded, and how many times you loop it around the ring. If you need a lot for a good price, this is the one for you.

I just began a project to control RFI in my computer room/ham shack, and the two main parts of the project are to create effective grounds for all of the equipment and to suppress spurious RFI emissions. These ferrite ring cores should do the job. There is a great assortment of sizes so I can deal with everything from video and power cables down to speaker and mouse cables. There are 80 of these in assorted sizes so I should be able to deal with everything with this one package.

These are excellent for filtering out common mode HF interference you may experience with Ham Radio. Clip them on your computer, mouse, keyboard cables to filter out interference. They may also fit on small diameter coax, although you'll need several, one after another on the same cable, to have much effect if you can't loop the cable twice or more, through the ring. Larger internal diameter rings would be even more useful. I subtracted a star because we are not told the composition of the Ferrite.

So, these are great around the Ham shack for filtering noise from the PC, Ham rig and Audio mixer. The description says "Ni-Zn ferrite".So, is this Type 31, 50 or something else? It's not uncommon for these NOT to be marked, but it would make it easier to isolate particular problem frequencies if we knew. They are well made and snap on easily and securely. I'll be loading up most of the kit on cables on my workbench / Ham shack.

This is a great sized pack with every size I need. I am in the process of tracking down and mitigating noise generated by LED and other digital devices in my home that interfere with my ham radio reception. These clip on and when the correct size is used that stay where they are put. The listed price for this package is about as good as it gets.

These are well-organized and securely arranged. (Someone must have had fun doing the jigsaw-like task of getting these organized without dividers.)I don't have a way to test their magnetic parameters, but their gross characteristics match what I expect. I'll follow up if there are any surprises once they've been in use for a while.Recommended.

I have been using in-line and clamp-on filters for years, and ordered this set because of its variety of sizes. No charts were provided showing attenuation versus frequency, so I did my own testing using a function generator and oscilloscope. The function generator has a 50 ohm source impedance, so I used a 50 ohm load. These filters have almost no effect at 1MHz, as can be seen in the attached photos. An input of 5.04V is only attenuated slightly to 4.80V, or about 5% reduction. Comparing one of the inductors I normally use shows an input of 4.96V attenuated to 1.92V, or about 61% reduction. These clamp-on filters became more effective at 5MHz, giving about 30% reduction. So they should become quite effective at 10MHz and above. These clamp-on filters will be most effective blocking RF radiation from computers and other devices operating with clock rates above 10MHz. Assuming that is the application, this is a great set. But they would not be useful for audio or headset cables, where the frequencies are well below 1MHz. I took off a star for even suggesting applications like that.
