The Test-Tite Twist-Tite ABS Mechanical Test Plug delivers a reliable seal for testing or temporarily blocking standard-sized DWV (drain, waste, and vent) piping. Made of high-impact ABS, this test plug features an oversized wing nut and wrench pad that make installation and removal easy and intuitive. The test plug is designed to sit on the end of the drain pipe with a neoprene gasket to create an airtight seal. The ABS plates, steel-plated screw, and zinc nut are all corrosion resistant, allowing this pipe test plug to be used for multiple jobs.

Great expanding plug. I have a riser clean-out in my sewer line a previous homeowner installed apparently using a scrap piece of 3" cast iron pipe, the threads in the bell end are rusted out and are of course >3", more like 3.25"+... This is a very well designed plug and although meant for temporary use I feel it should work well even in extended use situations. In my case I expected it may not expand quite enough for my needs, this is indeed the case but the next size would be too large. What to do? Enter the lowly silicon bracelet, get the wide ones, I had a couple I use on our hard plastic vacuum wheels so they don't scratch the hardwood ;-) One of these stretched around this rubber plug made for a perfect and reusable fit for my situation. Now I need to order more"bracelets" for my vacuum with extras JIC... If you encounter something similar try ASIN B00FS708QG. Hope you have a blessed and wonderful day!

I am using this plug to replace an old rusted metal one in a 3" clean out. After reading all of the reviews about the ears breaking off while tightening, I only tightened the plug snugly with the ears, then switched to an adjustable wrench and tightened it the rest of the way using the provided flats below the ears. It seals well and solved the issue of rusting that the cheap metal one exhibited.

I used this to cap off the black tank in a 2019 Coachmen Catalina Legacy travel trailer / RV after installing a Nature’s Head composting toilet. Fit was perfect and it installed quickly. Once in place, you do need to add a piece of plywood around the opening to attach the new toilet, which is to be expected.
