I bought this when I forgot my laptop charger on a trip. It worked perfectly although heated up quite a bit, as others noted. It's shorter than my usual charger but fine as a temporary replacement.

I've been using the heck out of this charger daily since receiving it a couple of weeks ago, and so far, so good! I read some reviews that say it gets really hot, but mine gets way less hot than my OM charger did even when the OM one was new. Waaay less hot, and it charges very fast. Mine gets warm, but I wouldn't even call it hot.I've also seen comments about the cord being short. Mine is approx. 60" long, and that's plenty long enough for my needs. I usually charge my laptop at a desk or very close to an outlet anyway.The cord is made of different material & is quite stiff, but I don't mind. I don't know if that means it will last longer or less long, but for the price compared to an OM charger, I'm very happy and would definitely repurchase if needed.

I purchased this charger in an attempt to extend the usage of my laptop. Initially I was very pleased with my purchase but have found this product to have a limited lifespan. I've bought several over the past few years only to have to replace them after a few months. The charger will stop making a proper connection to my laptop and/or start to get extremely hot and then will stop working entirely. Every time I buy a new charger it lasts less time than the previous one. The last charger I purchased lasted less than 30 days. I guess it's time to break down and buy a new laptop as I will not purchase this product again and cannot recommend it.
