For a pleasant surprise, this installed quickly and worked fine the first time. The two glitches were not the fault of the hose. First, I had a hard time releasing the original hose from the quick-release clamp. (I reused the short pigtail from the original install, so didn't need or use the one that comes with this hose) Two opposing release tabs needed to be depressed at the same time and the old nipple pulled out. I ended up grinding a pair of pliers to do the pressing while I pulled hard on the fitting to get it out. After 15 years it was a little stuck. Second, the hinge to the plastic-enclosed lead weight broke. Too brittle after 15 years. I ended up sanding the broken bits off and wrapping twine and electricians tape around the weight to re-attach it. Once those two setbacks were accomplished, the retractable faucet works as good as new. No leaks and no difficulty (which I was anticipating) in getting the new hose through the narrow opening in the faucet. I pushed it in, hit a few restrictions, re-positioned it, and pushed again. Third try and it went right through. Start to finish - about 30 minutes. The hardest part was cleaning out all of the junk stored beneath the sink. BTW - no need to turn off the water supplies. The hose is not under pressure when not in use.

The hose in this kit is lighter than the original, with a smoother outer braid. As such, once installed, it slides more freely. I've had to reduce the amount of effort I exert when pulling the sprayer out, which is a good thing. I think it will help with wear and tear.Installation was quick and easy. I tied a string to the bottom of the old hose before removing it and tied it to the bottom of the new one, just to help guide it through the hole at the bottom of the faucet during installation. I didn't use the short extension hose. My original was still in good shape, so I just left it in.The cost was much cheaper than OEM. I was already on my second OEM hose when it started leaking again. The first lasted about 2 years, the second about 6. The manufacturer replaced it the first time, but considered it a normal wear issue with the second. If this one lasts at least 3 years, I will consider it a bargain.

I am rating this 5-Stars for two reasons, first the customer service and secondly for the quality of the part. The customer service was so good that I had to call them back and congratulate them for their quick responses, their professionalism and follow-up. I felt as if I was a High-end VIP Customer. The first part that arrived did not work but they went above and beyond to make sure that I received the correct part in a timely manner. I had an all around 5-Star experience. Don't hesitate to use this sellers site I feel you will be impressed. My part did not cost a lot of money but they did not treat me any different than if I had spend thousands of dollars with them. Kudos to them!!

The hose portion and quick-connect end seem fine, but this product has two serious problems.First, the brass end with O-ring allows for blow-by, so I'm seeing leaking out of the base of the spray handle where this hose inserts. I think they probably should've used a slightly beefier O-ring, or machined the brass end to be slightly larger diameter. I figured this out after 2-3 days when I found water under the sink, and damaged the cabinet floor.Second, the compression fitting on the handle side has two flaws. It's both too compressed, but worse, it doesn't extend far enough out. An authentic OEM Hansgrohe hose has a compression fitting long enough for it to extend out of the handle, which helps prevent kinking and bending that will ultimately cause pinholes in the vinyl hose with time, leading to leaks which,is what happened with a similar non-OEM hose I bought last time.Long story short: This is a poorly designed product and you'll eventually have leaks, but they'll be small enough you probably won't realize it until it's too late and you have hundreds of dollars in damage like me. While I love this product has a very fair price tag, considering the authentic OEM Hansgrohe hose is 2x or 3x as much, I regret the fact I've only gotten 3 days of use out of it before it crapped out and caused water damage. What I'll pay to have under my cabinets repaired will, sadly, be significantly more than what I would've paid for an authentic hose direct from Hansgrohe. The authentic which has finally been "mostly fixed" to last, at least in its most recent iteration.Save yourself the hassle. Don't trust any of these non-OEM hoses. Look carefully ... they're all made exactly the same, likely coming from the same factory. You will get burned. And you'll get stuck paying for your frugality. If you're using this on an outdoor sink, maybe it doesn't matter. But if you have wood cabinets with a wood subfloor, you're asking for misery.I'm sure this product will eventually be pulled once others chime in with similar feedback, as was the case with others I found while looking for a replacement. Buyer beware.

Overall great hose, and (mostly) fit my Grohe pull-down sink. The hose quality seems good and it no longer leaks in the cabinets beneath my sink! However the male connector that plugs into the hose sprayer was slightly too loose (you can see the slight design difference in the image, left is original Grohe hose, right is this product). This means the water pressure is too great and sprays weakly out of the sprayer head, but leaks slightly at the connection.I fixed this by sliding off the rubber O-ring from the male head, wrapping some length of regular cotton sewing thread around the groove where the O-ring slides into, then sliding the O-ring back on. This made the O-ring sit higher and now the female head connects tightly, and the sprayer does not leak and sprays properly. (You may consider just finding a thicker size d O-rings and trying that instead). And a tip if you're finding it difficult to feed the hose through your sink head - I fed the entire hose through, but it just wouldn't go through the very end. I ended up tying a short piece of yarn around the end of the hose before feeding it in. Then under the sink, I reached and hooked the yarn and pulled it (and the hose) through using a sewing "loop turner" tool - not something most people have lying around, but you could use a pencil or anything else that's long that could grab at the yarn and pull it down. Hope that helps
