Apparently everything right now can be made with cottage cheese. Well, for me it's a bit too salty, especially if I'm trying to use it in a dessert. So as weird as it may sound, understand that it's possible to reduce that sodium while still retaining the purpose of the cottage cheese in a recipe. How? Easy -- rinse it! This cheese cloth makes that easy. I just measure out how much the recipe calls for right into the cloth, then I pouch it up and let the water run gently into the cottage cheese from the top opening as I hold it, then squeeze it out as you might if you were making homemade cheese. Yes, it is kind of messy still, but not as messy or as many steps as when I was trying to do it with a fine strainer.Overall recommended. It's one of those items you don't know how you can use it until you do!

I use cheesecloth in canning. It's great to filter out goodies when canning gravy, etc. This cheesecloth is fine so it filters well. The size is great - I use a China cap filter so I need a larger piece of cheesecloth and these fit very well! At the time of my review $10 seems a bit steep for 8 pieces. Bottom line - very good cheesecloth, great filtering, great size, just a bit expensive.

I love having cheese cloth on hand - but I've never had cheese cloth of such nice quality. I love that there are 8 pieces, and that the cotton is unbleached. Each cloth is quite large so I know these will work for all of my kitchen projects. And I love that each cheese cloth is hemmed all around. No worrying about loose threads - so practical! Best of all these are washable so they should last a very long time. Very happy with this purchase!

This unbleached cheesecloth comes vacuum sealed and in one big sheet. This is a kitchen staple for me. Excellent to use to strain, cover, sift...you name it. You can cut it to the size needed. I like that there are no chemicals in the unbleached cloth. Definitely a good thing to have handy.

This cheesecloth is as expected. Works well for making yogurt or tying herbs for a broth. The unbleached material makes me feel like I'm using better materials for my homemade goods.
