I bought these for neck reinforcement. I used the first one to stiffen the neck of an old Marting guitar with a steel tube reinforcement. Fit inside with a little shimming and epoxy .

I use these on cigar box guitar necks. Fit perfectly in a ¼†channel. Super strong and light weight. I’ll be buying more of these!

This is not a solid carbon rod;It catches on fire and fills the room with horrible stinking smoke. (no preperation to usea respirator) it may be toxic.

Hobbyist mandolin builder. I decided to try a carbon rod in place of the adjustable truss rods used in past builds: 1) easier to cut channel and install this square rod; 2) much easier to get an exact fit; 3) neck did not shift or warp under string tension. So, I'll be using these in the future. Bonus was that each rod makes two mandolin necks - easily and accurately cut with a hacksaw. Good product for my needs
