I found these blankets to be great for cold temperatures but I couldn't see them being useful in sub zero mountain temps as indicated, and they're kind of small. With that in mind, I do feel like they work well for camping, outdoor overnights in the backyard, things like that. The material is lightweight but effective, and I love the 9 pack, plenty to share.

When I saw these, I ordered them, here’s why:Last summer my grandson and I got caught in an unpredictable popup rainstorm. We had walked to the park so all we could do was cover with our blanket and wait it out. We got soaked. Had I had a couple of these blankets in my backpack, which would have taken up no room and no weight at all, we could have covered first with our blanket and then with the mylar blankets to keep us dry. If there is a next time we’ll be prepared. The rest of the blankets (a pack of 10 is a great deal) I’ll split between my car and my first aid kit.

I absolutely hate being cold and think these will be great to have on hand in case I find myself in a situation where I need some warmth. I had tried hand and feet warmers in the past and was very happy to give these a try. The blanket is very warm. The size is decent and they are very lightweight to carry in your backpack or purse. They heat up quickly and are decent quality. The value is amazing in that you get 9 blankets for less than $1 each. I am excited to keep these around.

I live in an area with very cold icy weather many months of the year. This type of blanket is an absolute necessity to keep in my car— and I’ve often wished I could keep several in my emergency kit in the event of a multi car pileup or similar but they usually cost 4-5x this amount and I hadn’t made the investment for the sake of total strangers. This multipack is an incredible value and is generous enough for a household of 3-4+ cars to make sure there are at least a couple of these very compact lifesaving blankets in each car— or for someone like me to have several to hand out to strangers in need!

These work good. I tried one out recently with all the bad weather we've had. I put the rest in my first aid kit in my car. These are a good value with nine in a pack, they can be put in several cars.

At least one of these 52x82-inch Mylar sheets belongs in every emergency kit, automotive glove box, first aid kit, etc. Not really a blanket, it's a wrap that covers the upper body of most adult users, keeping the wind off of you, and reflecting a good deal of your body heat back to you. It does not prevent heat loss through conduction (i.e. you body in direct contact with cold surfaces). It's thin, tears easily, and you won't be able to get it back in the plastic bag it comes in after your first use; none of that is a reason not to keep these available! At time of writing, less than $1 USD per unit is a value that I urge you to take advantage of. In a Go Bag, Car, First Aid Kit and the office. These are mylar sheets that will give you some protection from the cold and will keep the wind off of you. As another reviewer put it, it will keep you from becoming a human popsicle. They are big and can be used as a lining if you like camping in the cold weather. After unfolding it I wasn’t able to get it back in its bag so I used a quart size sandwich bag and it fit tightly in there. It might tear if you are too rough with it but a piece of duct tape will fix it.
