Okay, first off, this may not be the roller cover for you if you're using a tray application method. This roller IS more suited for the person applying a more robust amount of paint to multiple surfaces and in need of a good, durable, high volume of paint to be carried over carpet without dripping type of roller cover. The type for those in the painting world who would use a bucket and screen method to get the paint on the roller. For those that use buckets and roller screens, THIS. The roller cleans up easy, and it's actually the easiest roller cover that I've cleaned to date. I used this to apply paint to the ceiling with ease, though the drip risk does increase some. If the roller flattens while you roll, instead of the spread out fibers while you're rolling, means it's time to apply more paint--yeah, it actually notifies you things are getting too thin . It holds a lot of paint and helps to get more paint on the wall than some of the microfiber rollers. I used this roller at a previous job, asked my old boss about it, he verified it was the same thing, and I purchased it and, well, I still love it! Tray painters, you may want a microfiber or alternative cover. It would be too odd to apply the paint right after the first few applications, since the roller fibers would lay down instead of fluff with a paint bucket screen. Good luck!

I use these for everything. Bricks, popcorn, drywall, everything. When I painted professionally for a commercial company, I'd lie to the foreman and say it's 1/2". He probably knew better but let it slide anyway. I absolutely will not paint with anything else. Wash it a little with water when it's brand new before using, that will knock some of the loose fuzz off

Worked great. Used this roller cover to paint our exterior cinderblock wall. It picked up a great amount of paint and helped cover evenly on every coat despite such an uneven, porous surface. Really made short work of the wall.

This 3/4 nap worked great on my knockdown texture walls, better than the .5" I tried first. Holds more paint gets into the texture with less work. Had to change technique a little.

Used this to stain the very large deck. Had never used a roller of any type for deck staining before. It did a good job, and was easier on the back, but used lots more stain than the pads I used previously. This would probably be true of all rollers though.

I love this roller. It was a little pricey but it works so much better than the cheap rollers. It holds a lot of paint and distributes it evenly.
