Not truly waterproof, but in a protected area should be able to handle average weather. Newer LED strings at 24V use less current, so they can survive with smaller wires - but power supplies trade voltage for current - so size for size, this is about the same as a 12V 100W supply even though it delivers half the current (but double the voltage). If you are using 24V LED strips, these work great - especially as 24V strips don't require additional power feeds as much as a 12 or 5 volt system would.

This waterproof converter is used in my trailer. You can connect any type of connector on it (Type-C, cigarette connector...). It provides clean voltage without fluctuations.
