There was some misalignment between the motor and the driveshaft on a project I built. The flexibility built into this coupler totally solved the problem. My only complaint is that the tiny setscrews would not hold against a 3/8" threaded shaft. The setscrews are very tiny and I couldn't put enough pressure on them to keep the shaft from rotating. Instead, I drilled out the hole, countersunk it, and put in a flathead machine screw with larger threads. I works perfectly now.
