I used the L brackets, had to notch out the sleeves a little so it may slide down over. Didn’t take long and they look great!

Bought 5 of these posts from Ascension Stair parts, fulfilled by Amazon. Two arrived with decorative collars broken off. We will need to do some fixing. Nicely made, sturdy otherwiseContacted the "support" number and they aren't selling these anymore and they gave me another number, which was not an answered line. UGH worthy. nicely

Came in a box with no damage ..easy to fit as we are carpenters ..they look good with the mouldings . The slip sleeve adjustable height is a great little idea.
