A blower motor resistor is the electric component that controls your vehicle HVAC system’s fan speed. Usually it is mounted underneath the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle, If your car’s HVAC system is not working properly, it could be due to a faulty blower motor resistor. If it fails, your system may only work on certain speeds or not at all. At this time, you need to replace a new resistor to get your air conditioning system working again.
Blower Motor Resistor Location
- In most modern vehicles, the blower motor resistor or control module is located inside the vehicle behind the passenger side of the dashboard. It is installed inside one of the ducts of the HVAC system, close to the blower motor.
- Therefore, we suggest that you also replace the blower while replacing the resistor.

when my husband was installing into our GMC truck he was totally impressed with the quality. He told me that the wires were plenty long and that it appears to be heavier duty than the original. He was totally impressed with the quality and the heater now runs on high, which is a good thing because it's getting cold. Basically, a really great product at a really great price that was listed on Amazon with a clear enough description that I found it easily and was sure it was the correct part. Came veery nicely pckaged. Seller is now in my "Keep info" list. Will buy from again.

easy to install however only last a few days, thinking it was a bad one (does happen) bought another and same issue ran for 2 days then blew out.
