I needed a longer hose for my macerator pump. And I wanted to be able to join it to my existing one in case I needed an even longer hose.This came with a coupling and 2 hose clamps to do just that. It collapses well for storage. And when needed it will extend to reach around 20 ft. Even further when added to the hose I already had.It seems well made, heavy and flexible. If you are in need of a hose, I think you will be happy with this one.

This is a back-up in case the current hose springs a leak - which they often do if you're in too many gravel campgrounds. We replaced our original macerator house a few weeks ago, and wouldn't you know a few weeks later it needed it again.The quality of this item seems like every other Thetford macerator hose, so should fit and be durable and flex as expected. However...when it was ordered the model number in the description was for the 1" hose and the rest of the description implied it was the 1.5" hose. The description says to be sure about the hose size - but we were sure about both the size the part number implied and that the description contradicted that. Gambled that the part number was accurate rather than what was in the description since that has happened before. But turns out this was not one of those times. It seems like a good hose, so we will be looking for adapters to step it down to size. Most places are out of the 1" macerator hose right now, so if we want a back-up, we will figure out how to make it work.

This hose measures out to about 11 feet just laying on the ground. It can be stretched to the full 21 feet but you'll need to put a weight on it or something to keep it in place and your hose clamps will need to be tightened well enough to keep them from coming loose. It is made from good material that has kind of a slinky flexibility to it. It has a fairly strong odor right out of the box so plan to let it air out in the tool shed for several days. The current price of $68.65 (which is 20% off the regular price of $85.99) seems high to me for a 20 foot hose.

When I ordered this 21 foot hose, I did not realize that it's an expandable hose. It's about 14 or 15 feet before you expand it and I suppose it expands out to 21 feet, I didn't actually measure it to find out. It is a heavy duty hose, and it is an inch and a half in diameter. Overall it is very well made. It's just that with the being expanded hose, I don't want to make very sure I had tight connections before I stretched out somewhere where it might come loose.
