This is a very sturdy string. I think that it is rated at 50 lbs. tensile strength.I used mine to repair a broken pair of eyeglasses frames. But you could also use this string just to reinforce the frames themselves. Either by going though the screw aperture in the frames of the glasses. Or by just rapping it around the connecting parts of the frames. So, far the knots I made with the string are holding well. The string is very hard to cut, even with sharp scissors. It just goes to show you that the string is very tough. You could also use the string for hunting purposes, or personal security. The string would definitely hold up to be used as some sort of trip wire, or to set up snares for small animals.

Great for repairing wind chimes. Stands up to the sun and wind.

This thread is incredibly strong and easily holds 50lbs (more if you braid it). Used it as a quick fix on a mini Santa Maria grill because the original chain for lowering and making it higher failed.Failed once because some steak fat caught on fire and it cannot withstand direct flame for more than 15 seconds. We fixed it again but this time braided it and it’s held up really well (with constant supervision).

Thinner than I thought it would be, but also stronger. Thought it was a little high priced but after using it's worth the money.

It is tiny thread came on a tiny spool. Beware, but I'm sure it's probably good stuff, just think their picture is quite misleading

I don't have much experience with kevlar, but this exceeded my expectations. It is extremely durable and very very thin. It is the thickness of other threads you'd use for sewing, and can withstand a surprising amount of force. It has withstood friction multiple times a day for over a month, as well as at least 10 pounds of force (a bunch of wet clothes hanging on it with it being under tension). Still haven't hit it's limit. There is more than enough thread for what I needed it for, althiugh the image does show a different amount of thread than the product itself. One thing to note is it doesn't melt, it just burns.

I could not believe how thin and useless this 50lb test is. Dental floss is thicker and twice as cheap.
