I got this to replace the existing cover on our bathroom fan. We just refreshed the bathroom and when we took the old one off to repaint the ceiling, we discovered that the cover was cracked and being held up with luck. This fit the fan perfectly and stays up without sagging. Some reviews here mention it has a shine and don't like it. We used a semi-gloss paint on the ceiling since it is a bathroom, and the sheen on the cover blends in perfectly with the paint we used. Installation was a simple task. The cover does a good job of hiding the fan behind it. If you stare at it, you will see the fan and the power wire, but you have to stare at it to see that so who cares?

This is pretty cheap looking; the plastic is shiny, not matte like most other vents I've seen. It's easy to install and does the job it's meant to do. I hope painting it when we redo the powder room will bring it up a notch, but this kind of plastic is hard to paint because it dries streaky. In terms of functionality, it does the job but appearance-wise, this item won't work for me.

Originally, I wanted something that masked the housing better, but I found it just restricted air flow more than it needed to.I finally settled here, there is just less obstruction with the open design and it looks more pleasing and sleek.

Two issues with this cover:1. It will not be flush with the ceiling. It has a 1/8†gap in between. I try to bend the spring wire to reduce the gap, it helps a bit, but still not flush.2. You can clearly see through the grill to see the motor inside. It may reduce air resistance but looks ugly.
