I generally like everything is brand makes, as far as pins go, but the crystal chain on this arrived broken, and that’s considering it was pretty well packaged in a gift box. Something so fragile that it broke during transport implies it wouldn’t last long even if it arrived intact, so I can’t give this more than two stars.

If you purchase this with the understanding that it is purely costume jewelry with no hope of lasting, then you will probably be pleased with what you get.If you were thinking of wearing this pin a lot or giving it as a gift, not so much.I selected this pin to pair with a cape and the pin does indeed look very cool... from a distance.Once you get close, you can see how rough the construction of the piece truly is.Also, if I wore the cape a lot or needed the pin hold the cape shut, I would be out of luck; simply because this piece of jewelry is not durable enough to use day in and out, nor can it sustain much pressure.One problem particular to this pin is that the dangling chains on either end look unfinished and get tangled with the longer chains, which is a pain to fuss with.With all that being said, I can still recommend this pin for some people.If you are trying to accessorize a specific outfit and this looks like the piece of jewelry that would bring it altogether, get the pin, wear it, and enjoy it for however long it lasts.Or, if you want to add a little steampunk flair to an actual costume, this would be a great way to do it.Lastly, if you are into crafting or making clothing, you could work this pin directly into the design of a piece, which might end up making it into something even cooler than mere costume jewelry.Probably the best thing about this pin is that if it breaks or you lose it, you'll care far less than you would if a very expensive piece of jewelry disappeared on you.In that sense, you cannot go wrong getting this.

Overall I do like this lapel pin / brooch. It was listed for men but I bought it as a woman for my cosplay collection. The quality was average & because this is not an expensive piece of jewelry it just has the push under & hook style pin closure. The box it comes in is very nice & would be appropriate for gifting. The black gems are not too shiny & the silver is not flaking nor was it rubbing off. I did take away one star because one of the chains that was part of the swag was broken when it arrived & the dangling chains, one from each of the oval brooches, were uneven & it looked awkward. I fixed this by removing the broken part of the swag & the dangling decorative pieces. See pics with mybreview for details.Overall I am not dissapointed with the product. I will update if things change. I did receive this product for free but that has in no way influenced my review. I depend on honest reviews to buy the best products I can within my budget & I do not have the time or money to deal with inferior products as I am sure you don't!I do test / use all products I receive & try to be thorough in my reviews. This lapel pin is cool and unique looking. Well, I guess I should say lapel “pins†since there are two of them connected by chains. Each pin has little chains dangling from at to match the swagged chains that connect them so it has a nice draping effect. Each pin has a faceted black jewel with a filigree sort of backing. The look of this pin reminds me of J-Rock or Gothic Lolita style fashion but I’m sure you could easily rock it on a suit or leather jacket or a hat or anything you want really. Your imagination is the limit.

The pin cam with one of the chains broken - the one that is made with crystals. It was torn off one side and broken off in the middle, so there was a sorry piece of it left behind in the plastic baggie it came in. Even if it came intact, it is not very attractive.

I really liked the look of this pin but mine arrived broken. The rhinestone chain and another chain are broken. I may be able to repair them but, it's very frustrating that it arrived in that condition. They come in cute little boxes (I've actually gotten many pins from them and save the boxes to sort my various beads, buttons, and jewelry parts in them.) and inside a plastic baggie but, there is nothing to keep pieces from moving and shifting during transit. Unfortunately with a pin like this that means that it came very tangled up. Possibly that's part of the reason it arrived broken. The pin backs seem secure though and otherwise it's a very pretty piece but, the price on this is way to high for the quality you get.

The string of glass that goes from one pin to the other really give off a specific sparkle as it’s in movement. It would draw anyone’s eye directly too it, sparking a conversation for sure. Maybe a new best friend or even a girlfriend? The stick pins have been solidly constructed and are attached well to each lapel pin and are ready for many years of service. It’s also one of the largest ones I own out of the many I have. Very regal. Four Stars!!!

I was very happy when I opened this lapel pin. It comes in a giftable box. I immediately thought it would look awesome on my plum colored wool coat. I don't want to wait till next winter to wear this piece, so I have experimenting on different lighter coats and sweaters.I really like this unusual, pretty label pin. It will give your wardrobe that little something, something.
