Upon opening the AN Kingpin Airplane Lapel Pin I immediately thought it would be a good size for either a lapel pin or tie tack. The construction seems solid and the fastener strong, details on the airplane for the size of it are quite detailed. It reminds me of a WWII fighter. It’s a fairly good pin, but I’m not sure it’s worth the asking price. It’s not as detailed as much as I’d expect for a pin that costs more than a couple of bucks.

This airplane brooch arrived in a cute paper box and is light weight.The airplane is smaller than I expected.The airplane measures about 1.5†wingspan and 1†deep.The back closure behind the airplane fits tight and won’t come off while wearing.I think this brooch would also look nice on a bag as decor.The numbers 533 are stamped onto the right wing of the plane.I was surprised that the bottom of the wings even had some stamped detail.

I am a pin collector and I LOVE to see detail in a pin. This pins casting is mediocre, non-descript and really says nothing. What type of airplane is it? It has RAF markings in the bottom of the wings and USAF Stars on the top of the wings and the number 888 stamped on the right wing. It is just an airplane pin. I ordered this airplane pin thinking it would make a nice gift.The pin itself is described as being made of a zinc alloy. It feels solid and weighty as such material should.There is a 3-digit number engraved in the top of the right wing. As other online pictures show and other customers attest, these numbers are different. Whether each plane has a UNIQUE number is not stated, and I wouldn't want to jump to conclusions, but if that sort of thing is important to you, you may want to make an inquiry with Amazon Customer Service for verification.As shown in my second picture, the plane has a pin extending from its underside which may pierce your lapel or hat, or you may find a button hole in the lapel or air hole in the hat to slip the pin through. Also visible in picture two is the back to secure the pin. In my estimation the backing is tight and secure, and you do not have to worry about losing the pin because of failure of the backing.Picture two is also a good depiction of the scale of the plane in relation to my hand.This novelty gift may be just the thing for the pilot or plane affectionado in your life. And bonus points if each plane is uniquely numbered!

Buy this because you like airplanes and want to advertise it. Material quality is nice and the details are visible. Functions just fine as a lapel pin. 5 stars.

The plain is cute, the gold is nice and is makes a great detail on any garment. I posted a picture of it wearing it with a yellow scarf jut for added detail.

I ordered this pin because it looked so WWII-ish and I liked that because my dad was in the Navy and worked with aircraft. However, the pin I received only faintly resembled the pin in the product pic and in many of the review pics. Mine is a very simple design, with plain wings that have none of the cool little details, no stars, no torpedos (or were they suppose to be engines or propellers?) either way, my wings had 2 little circles where the pic of the plane had stars that was the only detail. I hate when you can't depend on the company to send you what is pictured. Some of the pins I have received from this company have been fun and cute, or distinctive and manly, this one looks like a simple child's toy. Disappointed.
