This arm pillow is cute and comfortable, but not very firm. I guess you can use it alone, but if you want something more firm and supportive, this is not it.

Gave this pillow as a gift. The child who received it loves it now, but had no idea what it was when she first opened her gift since it came vacuumed packed without a picture. I had to pull up the picture on my Amazon app to show her what it was. It would be wonderful if the manufacturer could place a picture of the item on the package. Other than that it is a wonderful pillow. It provides the perfect amount of support when used for reading in bed.
