The A36 carbon steel perforated sheet with staggered perforations meets American Society for Testing and Materials International ASTM A36 specifications, has an unpolished (mill) surface, and has been hot rolled. A36 carbon steel has low carbon content for good weldability and toughness, and bends to resist breakage under stress. The perforations are staggered in parallel diagonal rows.
Perforated metal sheets are created by punching a series of holes in a solid material. The holes are typically round, square, or slotted, but other patterns include hexagonal, Grecian, and cane. Holes are staggered (in parallel diagonal rows) or straight (in parallel vertical and horizontal rows). A sheet’s perforation size, center spacing, and percent open area (ratio of open space to total space in a given area of expanded metal) will all affect the particle size and the amount of light, sound, air, and liquid that can pass through.

I had gotten quotes from local metal vendors and online vendors for the same thing, all charging way more than this company. I was very pleased to see what I got for the price I paid. It was well shipped (without any bending). There were no burrs and the color was consistent. It takes paint very well. I'm using it to finish off some empty spaces in a server rack.

It looks like it will protect the grill and radiator from damage when using grapple clearing brush. Was able to shape using improvised tools and the weight of the tractor. Was able to cut with a jigsaw.Thanks

I needed some perforated metal to repair the grill of our CAT backhoe suffered when we lent it to a neighbor. I'm pretty good fabricating metal parts (and have all the right equipment). Just like I said, it appears to be much larger than it actually is in the photo. To me that’s misleading. After dealing with their customer service, I would not order from them again. If you’re looking for something, the size of a screen, it is a good quality. But this is my experience so take it with a grain of salt
